A Lesson Learned in Loss

My husband and I had the honor this past week of helping a good friend with the pictures and video for her husband's funeral. 

Sharing so many great memories was a great tribute to the amazing life he lived. Some pictures showed what an outstanding husband, father, son and friend he was. Others showed how dedicated he was to coaching, his career, and the community. And some showed his personality and how much he loved life all the way up to the very end despite how much he was suffering. 

I know that pictures won't ease the pain for his family and friends but I think they will continue to tell his story and maybe even bring even a little joy on the really hard days. 

So this week's tip is to take pictures. Just as simple as that. Take pictures of YOU with your friends and family. Take pictures of the big moments and the not-so-big moments. You never know how your pictures will impact your loved ones someday down the road.
