Take 5 Mins to Organize Your September Faves!

One of the EASIEST ways to START organizing your digital pictures is to take 5 minutes each month to add your favorite photos to a "Best of 2024" album! This will allow you to have the best of the best all in one place, making them easy to find and share in just a few clicks! 

So whether you've been doing this all year or are just getting started, follow the steps below and start creating a habit that will save you time and stress down the road!

 

If you already have a "Best of 2024" album, follow the directions below to add your September faves:   

iPhone/Apple Photos:
If you have NOT updated to IOS 18 (released 9/16/24) 

  1. Open the Apple Photos app from your phone 
  2. Click "LIBRARY" at the bottom of your screen
  3. Scroll up until you get to August 1st
  4. Click "Select" in the top right corner
  5. Select a FEW of your favorite photos from September
  6. Click the upload button (square with an arrow pointing up) in the bottom left corner of your screen
  7. Scroll down and click "Add to Album"
  8. Find and select your "Best of 2024" album 

 

If you HAVE updated to IOS 18 (released 09/16/24)

  1. Open the Apple Photos app from your phone 
  2. Scroll down on your screen until you see "September 1, 2024" (or the earliest date you have in September) in the top left corner of your screen
  3. Next, click "Select" in the top right corner of your screen
  4. Select a FEW of your favorite photos from September
  5. Click the upload button (square with an arrow pointing up) in the bottom left corner of your screen
  6. Scroll down and click "Add to Album"
  7. Find and select your "Best of 2024" album 

 

Android/Google Photos: 

  1. Open the Google Photos app from your phone 
  2. Select "Collections" from the menu at the bottom of your screen
  3. Click "Albums" 
  4. Find and open your "Best of 2024" album 
  5. Click "Add Photos"under the album title 
  6. Scroll up to September 1st
  7. Select a FEW of your favorite pics from August
  8. Click "Add" in the top right corner of your screen 

 

If you haven't made a "Best of" album yet, follow the directions below to get started! Then go back and add your favorites from September! 

iPhone/Apple Photos:  

  1. Open the Apple Photos app from your phone 
  2. Scroll up until you see the "Albums" section and click to open
  3. Click "Create" in the top left corner
  4. Select "New Album"
  5. Give your album a title such as "Best of 2024" and click the blue "Done" button in the top right corner of your screen
  6. Open your new album, which will be at the top of your screen
  7. Click the "+" button which will pull up your photo stream
  8. Scroll to the beginning of September and select a few of your favorites from the month
  9. Then, Click "Add" in the top right corner of your screen

 

Android/Google Photos: 

  1. Open the Google Photos app from your phone 
  2. Click the "+" sign at the top of your screen
  3. Select "Album" from the menu
  4. Give your album a title such as "Best of 2024" and click "DONE" in the bottom right corner
