Sentimental Gift Ideas for Mother's Day

In just three weeks we get to honor all the moms, stepmoms, grandmas and adopted moms of the world for their blood, sweat and tears!

We get to thank them for all of the behind-the-scenes work we didn't even know about until we became parents ourselves. The planning, protecting, juggling, organizing, taxi driving, lunch packing, taking care of us when we were sick and everything else they have done and maybe still do... often without recognition!  

And while I know this holiday may not be warm and fuzzy for everyone, maybe you know a single mom who could use a little cheering up this year! 

So, instead of buying flowers that will die in a week or another boring gift card, go with a sentimental gift for the woman who has dedicated so much of her life to her children! 

And the sooner you get on it, the better... these kinds of gifts take a little more time and thought than running into Walgreens on your way to brunch!

These cards, filled with memories, are way more sentimental than the generic, overly-priced ones you can buy at the store! You can browse cards HERE, where you can find dozens of options for just a few bucks! 


Mother's Day Photo Book
Give her a book full of memories she will cherish now and for years to come! 

• Make your own using Mixbook, my favorite photo book site! It is incredibly user-friendly and has pre-made templates so all you have to do is drag and drop your photos onto the pages

Make a Slideshow of Her Favorite Memories

iPhone Users:

• Open Photos App from your PHONE
• Click "Library" at the bottom of your screen
• Click "Select" in the top right corner
• Select the photos you want for the slideshow
• Click the "Share" icon in the bottom left of your screen
• From that menu select "Slideshow"
• If you want to add more options click the slideshow while it's playing and then click "Options" in the bottom right corner

Google Photos Users:

• Open Google Photos on your COMPUTER (not sure why the slideshow option isn't available on mobile devices)
• Create a new album just for mom
• Once all of your pictures have been added, click the 3 dots in the top right corner
• Select "Slideshow"
