Holiday Tips! 🦃 📸
Nov 21, 2023Just when you think life can't get any busier, the holiday season arrives and with it, a brand new list of to-dos!
On top of juggling all the normal everyday things, you now have to add shopping, meal planning, decorating, and maybe even hosting or traveling to your plate!
So in an effort to help you make life just a little bit easier, I hope these tips will simplify a few things for you this week!
Tip #1- Take Pictures
Go into the week with a plan to take lots of pictures! You can't get these moments back so make sure you capture all the memories that are made in the next few days with your friends and family!
Tip #2- Create a Shared Album
Create a shared album to organize you and your loved ones' favorite pictures from the week! Instead of texting pictures one by one, everyone will have access to this great stash of memories right from their own phones!
Apple Users
- Open Apple Photos from your phone
- Click "ALBUMS" at the bottom of your screen
- Click the "+" sign in the top left corner
- Select "New Shared Album"
- Give your album a title such as "Thanksgiving 2023"
- Click "Next"
- In the "TO" field type in your friends and family
- Click "Create"
- After the holiday celebration open the album and add all of your pictures/videos
Google Photos Users
- Open Google Photos from your phone
- Click "LIBRARY" at the bottom of your screen
- Click the "+" sign in the top left corner to create a new album
- Give your album a title such as "Thanksgiving 2023"
- Click "DONE"
- Click "SELECT PHOTOS"
- Select your photos from the holiday celebration
- Click "ADD" in the top right corner
- Once your photos have been added, share the album with your friends and family so they have access and/or can add their own pictures too! Simply, open the album and click "SHARE" under the title.
Tip #3- Share Your Pictures
On Friday or sometime next weekend make sure you add all your favorite pictures to the shared album and remind everyone else to do the same before we're on to the next big holiday!
I wish you a happy and healthy holiday season! Don't forget to enjoy these moments that were taken from us just a few years ago! We are so lucky to have the opportunity to gather with friends and family, travel and enjoy holiday traditions we took for granted for so long!
All the best,
Melissa
