Recent news has been filled with one story after another of devastating loss across our country due to extreme, and often unexpected, weather. It is heartbreaking to see interview after interview of people who never thought something would happen to them but are now facing a long road of recovery and rebuilding.

Do you know what you would do if you were in their shoes? What if you had to quickly evacuate? What would you grab? Where are your pictures, important documents, family keepsakes? Do you have what you would need for your pet? Do you have a record of your belongings? Do your kids and grandkids know the plan in case they're home and you're not?  

We have health, auto and homewoners' insurance "just in case" but often forget how important preparation can be for those "just in case" moments too!
